Overview

Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Pro) developed by Khavinson's group at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation. It is derived from the pineal gland extract peptide pool & shares the same research origin as Epitalon, but targets neural tissue rather than the telomere/circadian axis.

Animal studies show neuroprotective effects in oxidative stress models, improved spatial memory, & protection against neurodegeneration. It is thought to penetrate the blood-brain barrier due to its small size & interact with chromatin to modulate neuronal gene expression.

Quick Start Guide

1

Reconstitute with 1 mL BAC water per 10 mg vial.

2

Inject 5–10 mg subcutaneously once daily for 10 consecutive days.

3

Repeat 2–3 cycles per year.

Research Indications

Neuroprotection

Moderate

Protects against oxidative stress-induced neuronal death in animal models. Proposed mechanism involves gene expression modulation in neurons.

Cognitive support / anti-aging

Research Only

Spatial memory improvement in aged rodents. Human data limited to observational studies in Khavinson's longevity research.

Peptide Interactions

EpitalonCompatible

Frequently combined in Khavinson longevity protocols: Epitalon (pineal/circadian) + Pinealon (neural protection).

ThymalinCompatible

Thymalin (immune) + Pinealon (neural) + Epitalon (longevity) is the full Khavinson peptide bioregulator triad.

Side Effects & Safety

Common

  • Injection site redness
  • Vivid dreams

Uncommon

  • Headache

When to Stop

  • Signs of allergic reaction

How to Reconstitute

1

Wipe stopper. 1 mL BAC water per 10 mg. Swirl gently. Refrigerate.

Dosing math: 1 mL BAC water per 10 mg = 10000 mcg/mL. For 5 mg: 0.5 mL.

Quality Indicators

Good — use as normal

  • Clear, colorless solution

Acceptable

  • Very faint tint

Discard immediately

  • Cloudiness
  • Particulate

What to Expect

Days 1–10 (active cycle)

Subtle cognitive improvements. Sleep quality may improve. Neural neuroprotective effects are not experientially measurable.

Post-cycle

Effects are reportedly durable across months between cycles.
